How LEALE products are developed and made
At LEALE, every product starts with a real problem we notice during everyday life with dogs - then we turn it into something functional and easy to use.
The product development is done by LEALE in Zurich. Then, production is carried out by professional manufacturing partners: our leather collection is handcrafted in Spain, while our BioThane® collection is assembled by hand here in the city of Zurich.
The result is a collection of dog accessories that combines thoughtful design, skilled craftsmanship and responsible production.

Product development
Designed by LEALE in Zurich
Our products are developed by us - Sara and Michael, the founders of LEALE - from problems we experience or observe during everyday walks with dogs.
Most ideas begin with sketches, rough prototypes and hands-on testing at home.
Once the design is tested, we create technical drawings and specifications so our manufacturing partners can produce each piece exactly as intended.
Leather Collection Manufacturing
Handcrafted by artisans in Málaga, Spain
Our leather collection is made in a small artisan workshop in Málaga, run by a family of four with decades of experience in leather craftsmanship. They make every piece with care and precision, using Spanish leather. The result is a collection that is soft like butter and finished with lots of attention to detail.
We work with the workshop personally and have visited them in Málaga. Knowing the people behind our products matters to us, because it allows us to build a collection with trust, quality and transparency at its core.
BioThane® Collection Manufacturing
Made by hand in the heart of Zurich
Our BioThane® collection is manufactured locally in Zurich at Nähwerk, a professional textile and production workshop in the city.
BioThane® itself is a synthetic coated webbing produced in the United States. It is water-resistant and especially suitable for everyday dog walks in any weather.
This process combines durable material, precise hand assembly and local, socially responsible Zurich production.
